Dacia has refreshed the Duster. It now boasts of an all-new styling, better performance, upscale materials, and newer technologies. Not only is it attractive than before but it is also more versatile. To date, Dacia says it has sold more than one million units.
Unveiled during the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, the all-new 2018 Dacia Duster takes the performance pedigree of its former self to a whole new level. The updated design and improved spec sheet stray off the beaten path.
Furthermore, the truly assertive personality, muscular and robust styling are further emphasized by the Atacama Orange – Duster’s brand new body color. But color isn’t the only updated exterior feature. To begin with, the model appears wider thanks to the distinctive grille. Lighting now includes LED technology. And the skid plates are satin-chrome finished and larger than before.
Sideways, the belt line has been raised a little bit higher evoking an impression of occupant protection and strength. The windscreen is more steeply and moved forward and you would be forgiven to think that the cabin passenger space has improved than before. For an even more dynamic profile, the new aluminum roof bars extend the full windscreen’s width. The side profile is then completed by prominent wheel arches and seventeen-inch wheels down below.

At the rear, the car’s exudes a more solid stance thanks to the horizontal lines positioned on both extremes. And just like the skid plates at the front, the rear skid plates are also mass-colored and finished in satin chrome.
Although we’re yet to see the pictures of the cabin, Dacia says the new model has been totally redesigned. Buyers should expect better equipment, materials, infotainment, and convenience features.
The same speculation goes for what lies beneath the hood. The previous model of the Dacia Duster was available with a variety of engines. They included a four-cylinder 1.2L direct injection turbo mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Another was a 1.6L engine rated at 105 horsepower and offered for the 4x2 and 4x4 models. The other engine offered was a 1.5L dCi powertrain able to produce two power versions – 90/110 horsepower depending on the configuration.
Away from that, it also remains to be seen whether or not the dimensions will change for the new 2018 Dacia Duster. The existing model measures 4.3m in length, and 2m in width.
